The Podhale region is famous for its hot thermal spring waters. These waters come from depths of 2000m (2187yd) to 3500m (3827yd), where they are heated by geothermal activity to temperatures ranging from 40°C (104°F) to 90°C (194°F). The thermal water contains numerous minerals such as sulfur, magnesium sulfate and calcium, which gives it health and anti-stress properties.
